Statements by TFF President Nihat Özdemir;
“A new page is opening in Turkish football. 4 of our clubs have signed a new structuring agreement with the Banks Association. With this agreement, a longer-term payment plan will emerge. Thank you on behalf of his family.
Four major clubs and the Banks Association agreed to restructure the old 5 + 2 year agreement into 7 + 2 years. Clubs will not pay the principal for 2 years. The salvation of Turkish football is in financial discipline. We do not want our clubs to be penalized by UEFA. As TFF, we are working on our future, not to save the day. Our expectations from our clubs are that they fully comply with their agreements during this process. We have exemplary clubs that do not have any debt in Turkish football, and I thank them too.
